The Committee on Social Policy and Labour recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a basis the Bill on Amendments to Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Hourly Wage).
The Bill (Reg. No.1156) introduces amendments to the Law "On Remuneration of Labour, the and the Budget Code of Ukraine. The amendments aim at creating legal pre-conditions for introduction of hourly wage. Кодексу законів про працю України та
The authors of the Bill call for defining the specific rate of hourly wage with the account of income rate indexing for every next year in the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine. The People´s Deputies believe that "legislative estimation of secured minimum hourly wage of the hired employees will enhance observance of their constitutional rights and facilitate coordination of Ukrainian legislation with international standards".
However, the Bill fails to include regulations regarding introduction of the minimum hourly wage and social protection of an employee by its introduction.
